Condition Monitoring Services

Predictive maintenance that catches faults early — vibration analysis, laser shaft alignment, ultrasound monitoring and infrared thermography.

Predictive Maintenance

Condition Monitoring Services

Detect developing faults in rotating and static machinery long before they become failures. Our Cat Certified analysts combine vibration, alignment, ultrasound and thermography to keep your plant running.

Vibration Analysis & Fault Diagnostics

Vibration Analysis & Fault Diagnostics

Vibration Analysis is a predictive maintenance method which allows early problem detection in rotating machinery and prevents machines from catastrophic failure and high maintenance cost.

Mayon has an approved Cat Certified Vibration Analyst in India and the Middle East — leading the vibration analysis program and serving our valued customers through on-site AMCs and call-based vibration analysis services using world-class measuring instruments.

All CBM reports are prepared and witnessed by an ISO Cat II-III vibration expert with precise maintenance assessment and proper lead time to prevent machinery from catastrophic failure. Alongside this, all our other engineers have considerable field experience to ensure quality analysis for our customers.

Mayon Can Identify

By the study of FFT Spectrum, Time Waveform and Phase Analysis we can identify the possible causes of high vibration:

Misalignment Rotor Unbalance Bearing Defects Gear Defects Resonance & Natural Frequency Machine Soft Foot Flow Turbulence & Cavitation Lack of Lubrication Identification Mechanical & Structural Looseness Bent Shaft Eccentricity Fluid Film Bearing Instabilities Belt / Sheave Problems Cocked Bearing Electrical Motor Faults

Services for Rotating Machines

We cater to the possible service areas for rotating machines:

Field Vibration Data Collection & Analysis Annual Condition Monitoring Contract On-site Annual Vibration Monitoring Contract Turbo-Machinery Vibration Analysis & Dynamic Balancing Slow Speed Machinery Analysis VFD Machine Vibration Analysis Wind Turbine Vibration Analysis Temporary Continuous Vibration Monitoring Multistage Gearbox Analysis Root Cause Analysis

Laser Shaft Alignment

Laser Shaft Alignment

Shaft alignment is the positioning of the rotational centre of two or more shafts so that they are co-linear when the machines are under normal operating conditions.

Accurate alignment of equipment helps solve machine problems such as decreased running speed, bearing and coupling failures, abnormal vibration, roll cover damage and improper nip impression.

Mayon is an industrial laser shaft alignment services provider in India & the Middle East. In experienced hands, lasers are much quicker and result in a more accurate alignment. With a range of global customer locations and a full team of engineers, technicians and support staff, we accurately provide your alignment services in the time frame you need.

Types of Misalignment

Parallel or Offset Misalignment Angular Misalignment Combined Misalignment

Alignment Services Are Done On

Motor Driven Pump Direct Coupled Fan & Blower Alternators Gear Boxes Compressors Cooling Tower Assembly Turbines Shaft of Ships Conveyors Crushers & Mixers Spindles & any type of drive and machine assembly

Ultrasound Monitoring (UE)

Ultrasound Monitoring (UE)

Human hearing capacity is in the range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, while the ultrasonic sound being monitored occurs in the 20 kHz to 100 kHz range — making early detection of a developing problem impossible without the competent use of an Ultra Probe. The Ultra-Probe is sensitive enough to detect pinhole leakage as low as 1 psi.

Ultrasound is a very good go / no-go tool for predictive maintenance. It can give you a very early indication of developing faults. Once you detect issues with ultrasound you can further investigate the vibration spectrum for detailed analysis.

Areas of Application

Ultrasound Monitoring has a very wide area of application:

Early-stage bearing defects Lubrication issues — both over and under lubrication Leak detection in pressure & vacuum systems Steam trap, valves, seals & gaskets leak detection Corona, arcing & tracking in electrical systems Low RPM (up to 1 RPM) asset predictive maintenance

Benefits of Ultrasound

Reduced wear & operating costs for compressors Early fault detection reduces risk of plant machinery failure Quickly locate costly leaks, reducing waste & downtime Detects problems hidden by background noise in the audible range Non-destructive — does not affect the component or system Testing can be performed while equipment is in operation

Infrared Thermography Inspection

Infrared Thermography Inspection

Objects with a temperature above absolute zero (0 Kelvin) emit infrared radiation. Infrared Thermography is the method that detects the infrared energy emitted from an object and then displays the information as a visual real image.

Infrared thermography is a non-destructive method of testing. By undertaking an infrared thermography (IRT) analysis on equipment, it becomes possible to detect a problem at an early stage so it can be rectified easily.

Mayon provides thermography services comprising surveys of electrical apparatus (loose electrical connections, MCC/PCC panels, switchyards / power stations, motor terminal boxes, switchgears) and mechanical systems (compressors, steam / pipe leakage, bearing temperature analysis, refractories) as well as building structures and roof moisture.

Capabilities & Features of the Thermal Camera

High-resolution camera with temperature range up to 2000°C World-class image quality with precise report generation (infrared + normal image) Captures real-time high-resolution (640 × 480 pixels) images 0.05°C thermal sensitivity to visualise smaller temperature differences Both images (JPG & IR) captured at the same time for clear fault identification
